What's your minimum temperature to comfortably swim? (hot, temperatures, day)

Air temp could be as low as 20F. Any lower than that and my hands start to get cold.

Hmmm, never really considered water temp before. Air temp I guess starting at about 80 degrees is good swimming weather.

I swam in the ocean in Spain, in April, it was around 14C/57F, and the air temperature, probably around 26c/79f, and that was very enjoyable for me, and this is coming from a man who hates swimming.

I bet you in particular would love to swim in -40 water. Maybe you should try that when you get to Siberia this January

Now that you mention ocean swimming, I have done it many a times at the Washington coast with air temperatures in the upper 60s to the mid 70s. Though for some reason I never think about wanting to jump into a lake at those temps. Hmmmmm......

I haven't swam in forever. Last time I did it was on a hot summer day and I was quite comfortable. Just taking a guess, I will say that it needs to be hot enough for me to want to jump into a pool, which is around the low 80s. I don't know what the water temp around here would be at that temperature, but I assume it would be cold enough to cool me off.

Yes I was joking. But I did "swim" a little in the Beaufort sea in September when the air temp was 35F and the water was about 34F.

85F air temp is probably a comfortable minimum for swimming for me.
