Erm no its just in a valley. The temps this summer at night have been really cold because the air has been colder than normal. Its not really rare for places in Scotland or Northern Ireland to get at least a few days in August and July with sub 5c mins because of our latitude and the fact that we don't have smog here. But it is rare to see a frost in june.

19.5°C / 67.1°F at 13:00

Mostly cloudy.. just an typical average August day.. nothing unusual.

Typical UK summer high pressure weather. Cold at night, mild/average temps and mostly cloudy by day.

I must say i'm surprised by the amount of cloud that is around because it was made out by the GFS that it was going to be wall to wall sunshine. The dreaded NE wind has also kicked in lowering the temperature again.

Well first off the dew point seems fairly high here (and humidity in the 70's) so there must be a lot of moisture trapped in the HP and also any cloud that builds is spreading into strato-cumulus layers and blocking the sun as the day goes on, at least here anyway.

Well the Dew point is low here and so is the humidity. I don't think the High is positioned in the right place for us to get sunshine. It was sunny here this morning but as the day has went on the cloud has just bubbled up as you say and it is virtually overcast now which is disappointing because we were lead to believe that it was going to be warm and sunny.

It reached 20.4°C today, warmest temperature of the month. In a normal summer month we'd reach 24°C as the warmest of the month so let's hope a real warm spell follows this.
