Even after the much trumpeted cold air has blown in, we are still above normal

This week temps are forecast to be seasonable, it's been a long time since we have been anywhere close to normal.

Another mild day, but the dew point is dropping and the Sunny skies are coming out, i'd say it will cool down from now on.

-5c possible tonight, then 2c at best tomorrow.

Oh yeah, we got hit with several fairly large snowfalls already. After last year's record setting warm winter, nature is back in full force

Not really, relative humidity is pretty high in the winter (though obviously at these temperatures that still results in very dry conditions), you definitely feel the cold. Though out here the thing that makes a big difference is the wind.
