It ranges from Ice days to over 10c. But most years we don't really get any higher than about 12c and any lower than about -3c max except in 2009 or 2010.
This is why I said the averages are a waste of time here. March is really a continuation of the winter here whereas in america it seems to have warmed up considerably.
Yes, especially the northeastern part of the US does to warm up fairly quickly in March.
NYC for example is colder than most of the UK in winter but most years March is quite nice.
Even in nearby parts of Canada it can be quite nice. I live in southern Quebec and it has generally been between 5 and 10C for about a week. We will be cooling down for a few days but not to anything colder than what you are experiencing in the UK. Then it will likely go back up again.
Not really and theres really no point in migrating from the usa to canada at all.
Easier to get in with an in demand skill or trade. Or going to school there could get your foot in the door. They just don't let anyone in and it's a long process.

Yes. We seem to be getting a cold month and it looks like we wont be warming up. My max temp is not forecast above 6c in the next week. 6c is actually a warm up and then its back down to low single figures on the 17th.
