High of 84 F today. By the middle of the week it will reach into the 90's. Gotta love the desert. I'm in Phoenix, AZ by the way. I plan on going for a swim this afternoon.
Come on up North to the Dakotas and enjoy ice Fishing, snow mobiling and ice skating until April or even May/June.

June ice skating? I was up in winnpeg in july and it was 36c.
Typically all the ice will be melted by mid May. But it is not unknown for there to still be ice on some lakes until mid-June.
I first came to North Dakota in May of 2008. Came up from Austin, Texas. What a shock, it was near 90F when I left Austin.. Got up here and there was snow on the ground and some of the lakes still had ice on them until Early June.

But how is it possible to have ice in June with an average high of 25c? I don't get that?
Temperature data for Marion, ND. Somehow I don't believe that "come here to ski in May" talk. Winters are cold but like the rest of lower 48 spring is fast and summer is long and hot.
With a high of 25c and with all that sunshine i'd say its still impossible to see ice on lakes unless you are up really high.
The temperatures do not deviate that much and lets be honest you'd need ice days or 2/3c to sustain ice. So I remain unconvinced.
I mean this is march and there was an inch of ice on the lake up above and now at 3c the ice is almost all gone.
