Cold or mild is relative to the time of year. The average here in late March is 12C, at the moment it is 6C, so SIX degrees below average, that is cold, Fact.

Besides I'd find 6C cold at any time of the year

4.3 C / 39.7 F in central London at 2pm, ...we might even reach the dizzying heights of 5C today.
LOL @ the ice cream van that just arrived outside my house, desperately trying to lure kids with their lullaby tunes.

This is getting a bit surreal now. In about three days' time the clocks will go forward one hour for "British Summer Time".

No, as usual, you are wrong. You don't understand that I am talking about temperature in relative terms to the time of year...

The Met Office definition classifications for Spring (Mid March to Mid May) are:

Departure from average degrees:
>+7 = Very warm
+6 to +7 = Warm
+4 to +5 = Warm
+2 to +3 = rather warm
-1 to +1 = Normal
-2 to -3 = rather cold
-4 to -5 = Cold
Below -5 = Very cold

So even 6C here is VERY COLD, for late March...

Of course it is about the average, simply because we all have different tolerances, if it was 3C where you are in July would you still not consider it cold just because to you 3C doesn't feel that cold?...

You don't find 3C cold, I do. The weatherman on TV could be from Alaska & see the temperatures forecast here in the UK & think it is mild to him, but in late March in the UK it isn't...

That is why on TV forecasts they are stating that this weather is cold or very cold, because for March it is.

But the clocks dont signify warm weather...
