Fantastic snowfall that isn't mingled with too much rain. The only caveat is too many summer precipitation days. Still, an easy A.

Excellent climate. Long, cold, snowy winters and relatively pleasant summers. I've been in Northern Maine in August and it can get pretty chilly at night.

This is really similar to Duluth but with much wetter winters a bit more seasonal lag. (Duluth has the weird Feburary warmer than December). Sunshine is probably a bit less than Duluth, too.

This is the coldest place in New England, other than mountain tops. Our September was warmer than their average July. Their average January is colder than any month ever recorded here.

Interestingly, the summers are wetter than the winters. In coastal Maine and Atlantic Canada it's the reverse.

I'd usually give something like this a D, but since there's an E option that's what it's getting.

B. With cooler summers I'd probably give it an A.

D+.
Winters are just way too long. Summers are nice but very short and nights seem too cold.
