A lot of beach resorts in the UK are former glories of their past selves.. take Blackpool, a once thriving town popular with the monarchy, but is now a dump, unemployment is high and the town is dying on its arse and is full of hoodlums and scary lookin' people!
There are nice beaches untouched beaches though, and a few nice resorts like Brighton, Scarborough, Poole etc but the majority have gone down hill.
None of this climates is a bad climate, imo, but if i had to chose i ll chose Amsterdam or London. Amsterdam for being the sunniest, London for being the warmest. Oceanic type of climates are climates i like. I was borned and lived most of my life in an oceanic type of weather (though way warmer than all of this cities), Mar del Plata, and i always liked those parameters, specially the not-hot summers.
Bear in mind that the data for Brussels is actually from Uccle, a small town south of Brussels, and from 1971-2000 (unlike 1981-2010 for Greenwich). I wouldn't be surprised if the summer maxes in Brussels itself for the 1981-2010 period turn out to be slightly higher than London's.
Amsterdam! I think it has more thunderstorms and snow. And I like its temperatures though I prefer colder winters. Sunshine is bad!
