Summers on the warm and muggy side and sunshine hours are near the top of my tolerable level, but overall not bad. A solid four season climate. Average highs are about 3-5 F cooler than where I live.

Not bad, similar to mine, I'm north of MKE on the lake, too! Only thing is, humidity can get you!

I didn't see it at its best - passing through on an early morning train from Chicago to Madison on a grey and very cold 26th December after a snowy Xmas day, the railyards and nearby parts were the epitome of bleakness.
