There are droves of people on City Data from the southern half of the US, they just don't post on here. In fact, the most prolific posters are probably from that general area (Texas, Florida etc).

I can't speak for anyone else from a cool/cloudy maritime climate, but I am outdoors more often than not. I mean, think about it, cold lovers are hardly restricted by living in cold climates, they enjoy it, or prefer it, to overly warm weather. I know I do.

NO need to insult is there?

And I was talking about the weather forum - and there are not "droves" of posters from cities like LA, Miami, San Diego, Houston, Yuma...etc. Where are they all in the above list by NEI ?

Seems you are incorrect.

You can't restrict it to just one forum - as I said, there are plenty of prolific posters on other parts of City Data from Texas, Florida and California who have significantly more posts than anyone on here, with a ton of reputation points - so, why are they posting so much? Are they unhappy because it's so hot and miserable all the time? Or maybe they just enjoy spending time on the computer, and weather has nothing to do with it.

I won't deny that there are people in the real world who spend a lot of time indoors because of the weather, but a lot of people on this specific forum from cool climates are in fact cold lovers, so they probably enjoy the weather more often than not, so maybe it's simply random that there are so many cold lovers on this forum, or maybe the majority of weather enthusiasts enjoy cold (and more specifically, snowy) weather? Heck, perhaps many warm/hot weather fans don't want to post because they feel outnumbered (MrMarble's post seems to indicate that he isn't too happy with it). Just a thought.

Southerners are just as likely to enjoy weather, like cold, or like heat as the rest of us, so I don't really see the point. Even if they are inside more than heat lovers, if a heat lover wanted to post on this forum I'm sure there's plenty of time to both be outside year-round and post on this forum regularly.

What's wrong with sitting outside and spamming to C-D? If I lived in Florida, I would probably sit outside with my laptop and not inside like now. Same result. I hardly believe I would throw away my computer and start surfing () or hanging at the beach 24/7 just because I live in a warmer environment.

^^ I agree. If I lived in a tropical climate, I'd find a beach with wifi and surf the net while soaking up the sun

I would try this survey with the people at my work but they would probably look at me like I have two heads or something? I willl say nearly everyone I work with is complaining about all of the snow and cold we are getting and wishing for summer.
