This is an interesting climate located on the Kaibab Plateau, and features just about the coolest summers in all of Arizona. Considering its location in Arizona the cool, snowy nature of the climate is quite impressive, and demonstrates the power of elevation in the Southwestern United States.
I give it a B myself. The winters are too warm but the high snowfall mitigates that somewhat. The summers are a tad warm, but the cool nights make up for the too-warm daytime highs, so I'd consider the summer weather good. A final bad mark for me is that it likely is very sunny, well in excess of what I prefer. I am still impressed that such a climate area, that I wouldn't mind living in, exists in the same state and in rather close proximity to locations I'd consider my version of Hell on Earth.
This station is typical for high elevation spots in the American West. You can find similar stations in Californian mountains.
The temperatures are ok; but the cool nights and variable mountain weather means the frost-free season is very short, so there is no real spring. I'd prefer frosts to stop quickly after winter is over.
E. Looks pretty awful with winters being too cold with too much snow, and summer nights being very cool. The only good thing is that summer days are warm.
A. I'm always amazed at the varieties of weather in Arizona-from the hell of Phoenix to something like this.
