Chennai is wetter and more humid, but Wyndham has months with hotter max (especially November). Also Wyndham is prone to extreme heat, over long periods of time too. Wyndham's winters see hotter days and cooler nights than Chennai. Amazingly Wyndham has never received any rainfall in August - in history - not a trace.
I would pick Chennai because of the monsoonal rain. Wyndham seems pretty dry overall.
edit: I see now it has 1.8 mm listed as the highest rainfall for August. Last time I checked, a few years ago, that figure was 0.0 mm so I guess something must have happened in the past few years.
Chennai without a doubt, those summers in Wyndham look horrific, even compared to Chennai, plus Chennai has a monsoon season with higher annual rainfall
Both are truly horrible climates, and offer no respite from year round heat.
Wyndham has recorded a record 333 days in a row over 32C or 90F, that's insane.
Stiil, would only just go with Wyndham due to lower minimums in winter, every month of the year in Chennai is over 20C. Also not a fan of absolute deluge monsoon rain that Chennai gets in Oct-Nov.
Chennai easily due to the higher rainfall and lower average temperatures. Wyndham would have to be close to being the hottest place in Australia with average temps higher than Marble Bar.
