Grand Rapids has a humid Continental Climate with vary warm humid summers, short autumns and springs and cold snowy and cloudy winters. Grand Rapids is usually somewhat moderated by Lake Michigan giving a more cloudier and a somewhat "milder" climate compared to other cities West of the Great Lakes. The Average Snowfall is around 75" a year and the average annual precipitation is 38.27". The precipitation pattern is evenly distributed through the year with no dry season. There is an average of 145 measurable precipitation days a year and 52 measurable snow days a year. Thunderstorms are common in this area as well. The all time record high is 108F and the all time record low is -24F.

C, way to gloomy. Would probably enjoy first few years living there but I'm sure shoveling snow and gloominess will get to me.

Classic Great Lakes climate: Good, but not great.

B. Summers too hot, winters too short, snow not spread out across the season enough, too humid, summer too sunny.

A weak B. It for sure is better than Chicago due to the cooler summer nights. A close childhood friend had lived in Grand Rapids (before moving back to Sweden) for four years and he said winters were very equal to here.

Having said that, as far as a four-season climate goes I'd like summer days 2C cooler, to make it equally to Toronto which is the best four-season climate on earth and the only A climate of the type.

Not bad. I give it a B. It would get an A if summers were drier than the winters and if the average lows were lower (around 10°C).

A-, Winter is nice and cold but I want the winter temps to be colder by 10 to 13 degrees and summers to be even wetter. Though Summer is still very good.
