Weather Underground is predicting a high of 93°F on Monday. Probably wrong but wow.

National Weather Service predicting a high of 88°F. So far April (44°F) has averaged cooler than March (45°F).

Looking at some records, 2002 seems to have been warm during this period with 90s being the record daily highs. I also believe that year broke the monthly daily high as well.

Weather Underground is predicting 85°F here Monday. If the forecast is true, then it's gonna be 8 degrees warmer in Massachusetts than New Jersey, not very common.

Happens sometimes in the warmer season, if the heat is from high pressure system and strong solar heating (rather than a blast of air from the south). New Jersey gets a bit more ocean influence. Some forecasts for Monday's high from the NWS:

going from west to east

Easton, PA: 86°F
Newark, NJ: 85°F
New York, NY: 83°F
Rockwaway Park, Queens, NY (along the Atlantic): 71°F
Huntington, NY: 76°F
East Hampton, NY (along the Atlantic):62°F

going to the north:

New Haven, CT: 82°F
Hartford, CT: 84°F
Springfield, MA: 89°F
Greenfield, MA: 86°F
White River Junction, VT: 86°F
Littleton, NH: 81°F

Parts of Western NY also forecast mid 80s.

You know what we call it when we get a storm like that? Wednesday.

I'm sure that's a pretty bad storm there, though. Looks like fun!

Record for Newark on 16th is 92°F set in 2002.

Pretty much the entire area in 2002 set records for that day. Some at 95 degrees.

Yeah, I noticed how this "heat wave" is pretty much on the same days as the 2002 one. It's gonna be very warm, but hopefully and probably not as hot as the 2002 one. That was just horrible to have 95 degrees in the middle of April

Forecast for my area says 88 F on Monday, but the Weather Channel has been changing that forecast a lot. Last week they said 85 F, then a few days ago it said 72 F, yesterday they said 83 F, and now they're saying 88 F. Make up your mind already!

Spring is the very unpredictable season and this April shows it, because such the stable warm weather in a middle of April isn't happens every year here.
Weather forecast on the next two weeks:
