Since what year though?

In recent years May 2007 was the only May to record a sub 50°F maxima but in the 50's a few days failed to reach 50°F in May.

Yes, our winters are much colder, but we also get more sun (if Wikipedia stats are to be believed). And that is compared to London. Buxton would be a completely different story though. Waterloo is actually warmer from April to October

Fantastic day here. Currently only 45 F with gusty winds. Might be a good day to head up to the highest point of NJ and enjoy a final blast of cold air since this is likely going to be the coolest day until autumn.

Is it a residential neighborhood in a forested setting or some sorta park?
It's residential neighborhood and such a forested setting may see in almost any part of the city. This city looks like a big park and the landscape is flat here, in contrast to the other side of the main river.

Yup. Eating an apple as I'm walking and smelling firewood looking up at broken mid level clouds and blue skies. Just awesome. Feels like fall.

Wind chill values in the 20s not to far from us and even the spotty snow showers on the map.

Interesting Note here.

Hartford, CT normal max temp for the month of April begins at 54 F and ends with 66 F.
Worcester, MA normal max temp for the month of April begins at 49 F and ends with 61 F.

Both have a difference of 12 F from the start to the end of the month, quite interesting.

100 Miles apart. 2 Hours away.

Thats just using the big NWS stations. I can find spots within CT that have similar gaps within just an hour of eachother.

3PM and only 43 F with cloudy skies. About 20 F below average. If it weren't in the 50s at midnight, we would have had a much higher departure.

I took a ride up to High Point, NJ (1,800 feet) today. An unofficial weather station in that area has the current temperature at 34 F with a windchill of 23 F. Gusts were easily in the 40-50 MPH range. Trees are a bit behind compared to lower elevations.
