Ah, nice, dry, and cool. Just the way I like it. Too bad it'll end at the same time April does.

Ithaca averaged 2°F cooler this April (43°F this April vs 45°F March) than last March. A number of other upstate NY had similar warmer March than April. Extremely rare here, as the average temperature difference between shoulder season months is very large. See Cambium's post in the CT forum:

Well the basic fact is that the first week of May looks like utter boring wintery garbage yet again, so will get an automatic 0 out of 10. That means that the highest rating May can get, whatever happens after the first week, will be 7.5 out of 10. Oh dear. Spring's gone sour.

Nice Spring weather today:

Heavy Rain
Temp: 53F
93% humidity
DP: 51F
Pressure: 29.88"

I'll close out April with close to 5" of rain...above average again. The rest of the week looks cool and wet with a more permanent pattern change coming around next Sunday...finally.

I'm almost forgetting what humidity feels like. The air is so dry here, I am getting dehydrated just from breathing.

Looks like the dryness should leave this evening.
