Temperature stats alone could actually pass for somewhere in Victoria, surprisingly. In other areas it's pretty different though. Sunshine is not too bad by Southern Chinese standards.

I would say it looks like a pretty comfortable climate. It's monsoonal, of course, but not as bad as some other places (e.g. the foothills in India). Summer is still probably a wee bit humid/wet with not enough sunshine. Winters are distinctly cool but provide some interest. No time of the year is really hot, although there are probably the odd few humid days. There's probably a good number of T-storms I'm guessing. Winter could be a little wetter, but the sunshine is welcome at the time.

I'd give it a B-.

C+, not bad overall, looks very comfortable, the nights a tad too warm for me but otherwise nothing much to complain about.

Not too bad. Sufficient rainfall, not too much sun, and relatively comfortable temperatures. Summers look a tad muggy, but it's better than where I live.

One of China's best climates due to high elevation and being 25 degrees N
Very nice, I remember TV show "Amazing Race" filmed an episode there.

Solid A climate.

Winters are comfortably neutral...well slightly on the cool side but the high winter sun would make up for any possible cold temperatures. Summers look very very good!

C. Comfortable temperatures, but a bit limited in summer due to cloudiness.

Kunming is a fairly nice climate overall. The monthly temp data remind me a little of a station like Myrtle Beach here, only Kunming has cooler summers due to its highland position. Overall however, winters are pleasant, with daily highs in the upper 50’s and average lows above freezing, there are 6 good months of warmth (April through September), and rainfall falls in the perfect range (30 to 45 inches IMO). The only thing I don’t like are the sunshine hrs. Still, a decent subtropical climate with "light" seasonal change in temp.

What? I thought summer highs "as low as 79F" ( direct quote from you) were a detriment , as you so often tried to use that defence to denigrate Melbourne at every available oppourtunity, yet now a 75F summer is somehow acceptable? Interesting, considering your love of the beach and beach weather over 90F.....

Yet you've lampooned my city for having "only 79F summers" (which is false) , but all of a sudden, a city with a cool 75F summer is fair game?

The most surprising thing is, is that this city isn't even in the USA... wtf???
