Weather Outlook for North New Florida - July 9th 2017
**Severe weather warnings have been issued**
The current synoptic situation over North New Florida.
A severe weather warning is in place for the following counties:
West Peninsula
Siracuse County
Bart County
Holming County
Thunderstorms are affecting West Peninsula and will continue to do so during the daytime, giving more than 1-2" of rain in these parts.
Into the daytime heavy thunderstorms will break out west-east throughout the above areas affected. Flash flood is a possibility in localised areas. Widespread thunderstorms across inland central areas will move north and east during the day. See below for more details.

Southern-most counties will be under the influence of a broad tropical southerly to south-westerly sourced airmass going into July 9th.
A trof-line will produce unstable weather conditions in the vicinity of Southland County, with thunderstorms likely for Eastmann and surrounding areas.
Temperatures in western coastal districts will be down to about 24-25°C in southern most areas, and around 21-22°C towards the 34th parallel. Inland lowland areas can expect to dip to 20-21°C overnight with high humidity.
Into the daytime areas below the 34-35th parallel will see mostly fair conditions to start, except in the western areas where there are a number of isolated convective developments which will continue to affect areas of West Peninsula and Siracuse county.
A trailing stationary front is present across the 35th-38th parallel and then running up towards the 40th parallel off to the southern edge of Eastland County.
Scattered thunderstorms may develop anywhere south of the front during the late AM and mid-day period. More organised thunderstorms are expected to develop over central counties into the afternoon and these could be severe with localised flooding. Heavy thunderstorms may be expected for West Peninsula, Siracuse County, Bart County and Holming County. Weather warnings have been issued for heavy rainfall totals exceeding two inches, frequent lightning, hail and strong wind gusts for the period 06 - 21:00 local time.
Further north, in the cooler airmass, conditions looks set relatively fair with long sunny periods and temperatures in northern cities will be reaching into the low-mid 20's with lower humidity.
