Precipitation: 0.73" (-0.56", 57%)

Highest temp: 96 on the 19th and 30th
Lowest temp: 40 on the 8th
Lowest max: 68 on the 8th
Highest min: 62 on the 19th and 29th

Overall, a cool and dry month. The first half of the month was much below average but a warm finish cut into the negative anomalies. Still, it was the coolest August since 2009. It was also the first time since 2012 that June was warmer than August. The highest temp of 96 was the lowest since 1997.
