Thought this was worth noting. 4 inches of rain in 4 hours fell in Texas.
Records not only being broken but blown away.

...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM PRECIPITATION SET AT WACO...

AT WACO REGIONAL AIRPORT...3.96 INCHES OF RAIN FELL ON MARCH 19.
THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS RECORD FOR THE DATE...1.84 INCHES IN 1903.

THIS IS ALSO THE GREATEST CALENDAR DAY TOTAL ON RECORD FOR ANY DAY IN MARCH. (THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 3.90 INCHES ON MARCH 4, 1912.)

DURING LESS THAN 4 HOURS OF RAINFALL...THE 24-HOUR PRECIPITATION
RECORD FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH WAS ALSO BROKEN. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 4.22 INCHES...MARCH 29-30, 2007. RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL AT THE AIRPORT...SO A PRECISE AMOUNT FOR THE NEW RECORD WILL BE REPORTED LATER.

IN ADDITION...THE MONTHLY TOTAL NOW RANKS AMONG THE TOP 10 WETTEST.

OKLAHOMA CITY WILL ROGERS AIRPORT RECEIVED 3.02 INCHES
OF RAINFALL ON MONDAY. THIS BREAKS THE DAILY RECORD FOR
MARCH 19TH. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 1.73 INCHES, SET IN
1903.

RAINFALL RECORDS FOR OKLAHOMA CITY DATE BACK TO 1891.

Those storms just seem to continue to hang there....
Kept an eye on them yesterday.
