As predicted... The Russian Hot zone and African Hot spot weakened and now temps dropped substantially from + .488C degrees to + .17C degrees. There's virtually no hot zones in the Southern Hemisphere (even though its winter).

Yesterday.

Today

I will get the 00z run from today to match the first map time frame to be fair. I figure I start the thread with what I had.

I will try to keep this thread updated.(Wish I started years ago)

Northeast is in a pretty strong cold spot, though I don't need a map to tell me that.

Ha. I actually don't want heat all that badly yet. A few weeks of mostly dry sunny weather in the 70s would be nice.

Not sure what's up with this map, we've been running at a +4C anomaly for the first 5 days of June.

I looked into it and it seems correct. Looking at the map where Perth is, its showing 1-2 degrees Celcius above normal. Also, This is for yesterday not past 5 days.

We had a 5C-6C positive anomaly on the 4th. This was the case for most of southwest Australia.

I apoligize, I looked at the map again and zoomed in..sure enough 4-5 degrees above normal there. Its pretty accurate. Sure there will be "local" spots above or below, but as a whole the temps did drop globally past day.

It goes by confirmed data from offices around the world, satellites, bouys, ect so its hard to argue with it. Computers do make errors so I appreciate you questioning it.

And here it is folks... No hype...just data... Global temp update has dropped yet again. It is now Less than 1/2 degree above the 30yr mean. (thats how hot it was!)

Currently +.042C compared to +.17 previously.

I've watched these temps fluctuate over the years so it will go back up soon.. This is from the 12z data(8am).. There's 4 updates throughout the day. I will get the 00z from today to compare to the first map I posted.

But almost a half degree drop within 18hrs is impressive.
