Terror Valley looks like somewhere on the moon, but not sure if the moon tilts on it's axis and thus has seasons.
There is not one temperate month.
Would accept the perpetual bleakness of Mount Despair in preference, as this climate could feasibly exist at 4,500-5000 metres elevation on the equator. Higher than this is actually permanent snow cover - eg Mt Kilimanjaro or Chimborazo in Ecuador.

They are both POS climates! But I'll take the lesser of two evils by choosing Terror Valley.

Can't really bring myself to pick one, I guess I'll go with the rainy hell of Mount Despair.

Mount Despair is just the worst kind of winter day in England albeit every day, whereas apart from about five minutes a day in the summer months the other one looks unliveable - got to stick with what I know!

A rainy English December day - probably my most hated type of weather on the planet (or Scotland, cause it's at a higher latitude, so it must be even gloomier). Man I went to London last December and it was absolutely horrible - not every day, I even got some sunshine - but the worst type was days with a high of around 4°C, rainy, dark the whole day, and pitch darkness after 4pm. I don't know how you guys can live in the UK.

I don't think I could live anywhere much higher than 45°N/S...

The same way people live in Iceland, the Netherlands and Norway.. as I said on another thread, when you live in the UK for a lengthy period of time you don't even notice how cloudy it is, and when you're in the worlds greatest city (in my opinion ) it doesn't really matter. There's more important things to worry about then the weather. Most people in London are probably too occupied with their life to even notice the weather.

The couple of times I've visited the UK it seems to be reasonably comfortable, never really gets too hot or cold. I've been pretty lucky though I first visited in February 2008 when temperatures were well above average and then in September 2009 when it got to about 26C on one day in London visited and I managed to get sunburned lol. Scotland was rather cool/seasonal though but then the winters aren't that harsh either.

I could see myself living there with no major issues with the climate though I'd prefer more sunshine and warmer summer temperatures. London isn't too bad at all with 5-6 months of 't-shirt weather' for me its decent.
