Vienna, mostly for the lower sunshine hours. Summers are on the warm side, but tolerable. Winters look very pleasant.

Vienna easily, both climates could do with a bit more sunshine though.

Victoria

One of my fave climates, mild in winter, sunny summers
warm enough for me, air conditioning optional

I like Austria too, but not Vienna, I like the "alpine" climates of
St Anton, Kitzbuhel, and Innsbruck, very nice but Victoria is still better

Interesting comparison might be Vienna and Bratislava,
closest capital cities in Europe (50 kms?).
IIRC Bratislava being warmer than Vienna (not sure why?)

Hmmm, Vienna has more defined seasons, but it also has all that extra summer precipitation. Victoria is a slightly drier and even milder version of what I've lived in my whole life. Despite Victoria being drier, I'ma go with Vienna for the greater seasonal variation!

Victoria for sure

I'm been to both Vienna and Victoria and Victoria is definitely my pick,
fantastic weather all year round. They do a flower count in late February,
also a palm tree count too, over 3000 palms in suburb of Oak Bay

Vienna easily because it has more seasonal variation. I like gloomy, overcast, chilly but still comfortable days. Looking at the stats, they seem quite abundant in winter in Vienna. This was exactly how the weather was when I visited the city.
