Schools closed often, I think one year we had an entire week off because of snow, think it was 2010 or maybe 2011

Vermont to me is the poster child of a four season climate.

New Hampshire a close second.

Actually, almost all of New England, except perhaps, extreme
southern areas, like where Cambium lives.

Kentucky averages upper 80s in mid summer and has guaranteed snow in winter. It's literally just right.

To me Oregon, west of the Cascades, has TWO seasons ~ rain and no-rain.

East of the Cascades has four. But.... it's high desert and a long way from metropolitan life.

My mate - an eastern Oregon native - thinks Christmas just isn't the same without snow. But I hate it, so I don't need it.

Hi, We live in the Pacific North West, Washington State. We are going to have to sell and move in the next year, as we can't afford to live here once my husband retires. We are looking for a state with all four seasons, mild winters , mild summers. Arizona is not an option. Please, people tell me where you think we should go. I have been looking for years, I don't know where to look anymore. If you live in a place like this, with a low cost of living as well. Please tell me all about it.

It doesn't exist. No place has all four seasons with mild winters, mild summers, and a low cost of living. Pick two.
