How is it better than Vancouver? Summers are so cloudy and cold and the rest of the year is extremely wet.

An interesting climate.

The rainfall could be spread out more evenly throughout the year and more pronounced seasonal changes would be nice (colder winters) but the sunlight hours are good.

C-, the insane amount of rain and slightly cooler summers/slightly warmer winters make it less appealing to me than Bellingham.

The Olympic Peninsula is stunningly beautiful, though.

Because the winters likely receive less snow and freezing temperatures than Vancouver. That is the most important thing to me.

Ah yes Forks. It looks very similar to the home of Kurt Cobain, aka Aberdeen, Washington. Actually it is even wetter than Aberdeen, wow. Not a bad climate honestly. Lots of rain, decently cool throughout, and at least a little snow each winter. Somewhere in the middle to high B range I guess.

Edit: Although, where Cobain lived as a teenager for a short period of time, is even wetter than either Aberdeen or Forks.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montesano,_Washington Averages 120.8 inches of precipitation per year. Although, it is actually somewhat snowy, averaging 39.9 inches of snow per year.

He also lived a bit where I am too. His old apartment is literally a 2 minute walk from where I’m at.

This data appears to have been sourced from the South Olympic Tree Farm:

https://wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?wa7871

Over the period from 1945 to 1956, which includes some unusually snowy winters, like 1949-50, which was one of the snowiest on record for western Washington.

On the other hand, let's look at nearby towns around sea level, like Matlock and Elma, with longer/more recent periods of record:

https://wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?wa5086

https://wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?wa2531

The town of Montesano itself is barely above sea level too, so its snowfall averages would likely be in a similar range of 3-7 inches/year.
