San Andrés (island) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Manila - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Both are borderline tropical savanna/monsoon climates with nearly the same average annual precipitation and average annual temperature.

I prefer San Andrés due to a longer (although less intense) wet season and presumably lower record highs. The record lows for San Andrés are probably very high too...mid to upper 60Fs range I'm guessing.

Both are at roughly the same latitude (12N for San Andrés vs 14N for Manila).

Both are too hot for my preferences though and both receive F+ grades.

San Andreas, though it looks a little Hurricane-y, the temperatures aren't awful. They're kind of my ideal summer temperatures only all year.

These are really not my favourite climates by any means but if I have to choose I'll go with Manila.
The dry season, which the Wikipedia article underestimates, is longer, nearly six months in fact, even if the monsoon is more intense. There is also a slight cool down in especially night-time temperatures in Nov-March, which is totally absent in San Andres where temperatures are nearly identical throughout the year.

Manila's (official) record low is 14.5C.
12C was recorded unofficially.
