Here's the weather station for our tall mountain (long-term data from the station is available from weather underground, among other places):

Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS) – White Mountains, New Hampshire (NH)

Reaches colder winter temperatures but warmer, though often horrifically cloudy summers, so not glacier-prone like Scottish mountains.

Well the highlands arent glacier prome because they only have patches in the summer. If we had a full frozen cover to may then the snow could last and thats what they are Saying.

Oddly, we're forecast snow on Tuesday, too.

Tuesday Snow before 1pm, then snow and sleet between 1pm and 3pm, then snow after 3pm. High near 37. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night Snow likely, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

5-7 inches if all snow, but it's not going to be all snow, so hard to say.

I find it funny because it actually happens quite alot that we get warm weather when you get warm weather and vice versa, I wonder if there is a connection. Or maybe the Greenland high just powers weather in both places.

It's a negative NAO (which is connected with the greenland high). Cambium's map here makes it clear:

I certainly agree with that. Also 360-degree webcams should be added to these stations. Maybe even a continuous real-time HD video feed, though that might be a stretch for present-day technology.

Another storm ramping up in the upper plains, headed for Minn. and Wis.! Last year at this time we had record temps, 70s, this year 20s, below normal. Major snow on the ground, no grass to be seen certainly not like last year.
