I will believe actual facts and data from the weather station supporting the claim rather than to take "your firsthand experience".

Honolulu gets rain only at the mountains, but the trade off here is that the temps get cooler. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Other than nice annual temps and less humidity, Honolulu isn't really interesting like Miami or some of the other Aw climates.

596mm per year from one source, and I've seen similar numbers from elsewhere. Rainfall also increases sharply towards the close-by hills, so it depends on which part you're referring to.

Honolulu doesn't get rain ONLY in the mountains. What an ABSURD comment! It's tropical savannah, as indicated by Trewartha.
