In your opinion, which place (Canada) or (Scandinavia) has more desirable climates to you?

I know there are differing definitions of Scandinavia, but for this purpose, I'll include the countries - Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.

I think I'll choose my home and native land... Coastal BC, the Okanagan and Southern Ontario have climates IMO better than anywhere in Scandinavia.

Edit: Accidentally voted for Scandinavia.. argh!

Canada. There are many places in Canada with decent summers (highs in high 70s) and 2000+ sunshine hours. Can't say the same for Scandinavia.

Scandinavia

Some places in Canada are too warm and sunny. Scandinavia features very comfortable oceanic climates, in addition to places with cold and snowy winters.

Scandinavia has the best climate in Europe, but I have to give the edge to Canada for the four season climates such as New Brunswick, especially Saint John.

Both are fantastic however.

There really aren't any Scandinavian climates comparable to Victoria or Penticton or even Windsor, for that matter.

The best climate I can find in Scandinavia is here:

Bornholm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And I can think of much better options here in Canada.

( That being said, outside of northern Europe and northern Asia, pretty much every country in the world has a better selection of climates than Canada. But for my tastes, Canada has a dismal selection. )

Southern Norway has much milder winters than Bornholm.

Canada, only because some parts have reasonable sun.

Canada, simply because it has more variety. There are places that are colder and snowier than Scandinavia, and if you like warmer summers/mild winters or both, there's that too. Pretty hard to find an analogue for coastal BC as has been stated, where whole winters can pass without much accumulating snow (not my preference btw).

Canada. I'd be ready to take colder winters if that meant having actual summers and more sun.

Yes, but the mild areas in the south-west are also much, much wetter and cloudier.

I'd rather have Bornholm's coldest of -2.4/1.7C and seven precipitation days than Bergen's -0.4/3.6C and twenty-one, but where it really wins is summer. Bergen gets ten more days of rain, about a hundred millimeters more when it falls, lower lows ( highs are roughly similar ), and forty hours less sun.
