I live in a rainy part of the UK (relatively speaking) with 51" of rain a year and rain on 2/3 days so the ground is usually a bit damp much of the time, mostly in winter without warmer temperatures to evaporate it quickly. At the moment though it hasn't rained for two weeks more or less and the ground is getting fairly dry, that will change this weekend though when we get a big thunderstorm (of course).
