Here June's monthly rainfall average is 80mm and we're already on 140mm this month so this future rain isn't looking welcome. Despite England's rainy reputation proper downpours are very rare and there are very few days when 2 or more inches falls.
Average is 131 mm for June, 158 mm for July and 165 mm for August. At about 240 mm so far for June.

The rain here typically comes in 2-4 day wet spells with 7-10 fine days spells in between. The rainfall is pretty variable though. About 10 days per month is the average over winter. Most rain events here seem to have 1 or 2 main falls, with smaller falls linking them. Partial or totally clear skies in between are common.

Any mountains right nearby?
No, it's rare for dew points to reach 20C/68F here, although above 15C/60F is common. Summer rain here is usually frontal, but heavy convectional cloud is very common. It tends to dissipate before reaching saturation point though. Summer fronts can come in with a base of only about 1000ft, and move quickly. Depending on what angle, and valley they go up, can result in dramatic differences on rainfall totals over short distances

The closest mountains (above 1600 m/5000 ft ) are 11 km away as the crow flies The hills ( 1000-1600m/3300-5000 ft) are 4 km away.

High 25/77°F, sunny with a dew of 14°C/57°F, a very pleasant day for once.

Btw thanks both for the advices. I've plenty of time in my hands to make a decision before heat arrives, if it ever does.
One thing is sure, AC is useless here unless one is a solid heat hater.

Apparently not everyone enjoyed Monday's thunderstorms...

Going to try… heat index was 103°F at 5 pm. Hottest I've ever biked for any length. Probably a dumb idea.

Who likes Extremes??

Here's the discussion from State College PA for next week.

THE REAL MEAT OF THE COOL DOWN WILL COME LATER MONDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AS A STRONG SECONDARY COLD FRONT PLOWS ACROSS THE STATE.

A POCKET OF ANOMALOUSLY COLD AIR ALOFT NEARLY -2 ST DEVIATIONS AT
850 AND 700 MB...APPEARS ON SCHEDULE TO MIGRATE SE ACROSS THE
CENTRAL APPALACHIANS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. ASSOCIATED STEEP LOW-
MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES IN THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING WILL
CREATE VERY FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
TSRA...LIKELY CONTAINING AT LEAST SMALL HAIL.

MAX TEMPS COULD BE NEAR NORMAL ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND SE
ZONES...PRIOR TO THE CFROPA. HIGHS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL
EASILY BE SEVERAL OR MORE DEG F BELOW NORMAL. THESE LATE AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING SHRA/TSRA /AND ITS MIXING DOWN OF THE VERY COLD
AIR FROM ALOFT/ WILL SUPPRESS TEMPS TO OVER 10F BELOW NORMAL

Latest GFS18z temps for Tuesday on left Widespread 50s for the high and Wednesday morning on right.

Tried...wasn't nowhere as bad as I feared. I actually enjoyed it, though it obviously wasn't ideal. The two things that made a difference were:

1) Removed a small hill from my typical route with no distance increase.
2) Was in the shade most of the time. Probably would have been unbearable otherwise.

I think I might rate hot climates a bit better after this.

Heat index was around 100-101°F; ride 8.4 miles.

79°F inside.

I will never understand it.

I just came out of the car and was going to "try" to sit outside and "relax"...(meaning not move an inch)... I swear.. within 5 minutes I couldnt do it. Temp. 92.5. heat index 99. Dewpoint 67. Humidity 45%.

Absolutely disgusting I wouldnt dare go walking down the block let alone a bike ride.

Well on the latest GFS run all that rain has been downgraded to just 20mm so nothing unusual.

I imagine the "breeze" helped too. Today I was standing outside (by a pool of all places) for 5-10 minutes and I was starting to sweat.

Really humid right now: 84 F with a dewpoint of 74 F (72%, heat index 91 F).

2 stories you will appreciate (maybe laugh at too)

~ Buddy of mine rode his bike to my house (27 miles, 40 minutes by car) while it was 90 degrees out. He stayed less than an hour and headed back in the middle of the afternoon. 13 hours of Biking in 90 degree weather. Sick.

~ I hiked in the adirondaks while it was 50s in the morning and 70s during the day. Morning hike was fine, I practically got a heat stroke on the way down. I was so overheated I was losing more liquid then taking in every 10 minutes and my head felt like an atomic bomb was going off. My activity limit is 72 from experience.
