Its not the warmest station. That would be Point Atkinson lighthouse in west van. Would you rather I picked Burnaby Mtn instead? Besides its the station most representative of where people actually live.

Pffft. More people live in Burnaby and points east than in Vancouver proper. What's wrong with the airport station? Besides the fact that its last frost was March 8 or some such.

Where do you draw the line though? Most airports are located in exposed frost hollows where most people don't live.

Edmonton Intl, Winnipeg and (to a lesser extent) Regina airports are all located in frost hollows.

And don't forget Lester B. Pearson Int'l AP .....frost hollow for sure.

Also Halifax Int'l and Victoria, BC airports ....both very far from the actual city.
