Tangier, no hesitation - sunnier, warmer summers, comparable winters

Sydney, for higher and less seasonal rainfall as well as better thunderstorm potential.

Sydney

No dry season and I don't care that summer is cooler, I think I'd appreciate it actually.

Sydney has less rain days then what Wiki says
Climate statistics for Australian locations

Maybe Wiki is counting days with <1mm though.

That being said, for an oceanic climate, Sydney is awesome.

Tangier, glorious climate in my book.
Summers are warm, but not overly so for a Mediterranean climate and minimums stay below 20C.
Prefer less seasonal lag in spring, but that is one and only flaw with most Mediterranean climates.
Rainfall is more than adequate, and concentrated in the cool season.
I would suspect this climate is substantially more stable and consistent than Sydney's.
Sydney has more even rainfall and averages virtually 100mm every month of the year, which is too much for a temperate climate -even though this drops off substantially in the western suburbs to <900mm.
