Oceanic climates don't have much variation in temperatures though, so a difference of 1-3C in average temperature can and does have a noticeable difference.
I think Salisbury is probably the snowiest. Southampton definitely gets the least amount of snow, even less than Plymouth. In the 4 years I was there, it snowed on 2 days and settled once (in Jan/Feb 2009).
It hardly ever snows in Salisbury, I know because I live there. It's only 20 miles from Southampton so theres probably not too much difference.
I'd say Reading would get most snow and also the highest temperatures, I choose Reading.
I would pick either Southampton or Reading. Southampton overall has the nicer climate but Reading has more 25C days.
I like Southampton. The winter looks almost perfect, chilly but not brutal. Does Southampton get more sun than London? If Heathrow is getting around 1700 hours, don't you think Southampton should be a little more than what is listed?
