Nothing I hate more than overcast skies and days of drizzle. Takes away my will to live. Often I wake up at 10am thinking it's still 7 or 8am because it is so dark due to the endless overcast. I'm an amateur astronomer and have a $4500 and a $1400 telescope, love to explore the night sky so I am absolutely allergic to clouds. Infact I'd rather eat broccoli.

How do you guys tolerate and deal with cloud?

November is usually the dark and drizzly month here. The fall foliage is well past its peak by this time, so there's nothing of note. It's much better than hot weather, but it's not my favorite time of the year. The only thing that month is good for is counting down until the rain turns into snow

Typical November scene. Not bad, but it's not October or January either.

Not at all, since it's usually still comfortable enough for outdoor activity or to crack open the window for some fresh air.

I'm the same way as you

I LOATHE cold and cloudy weather. Everyone and everything around just seems much more depressing too.

That's another reason why I must get out of Detroit soon.

I was getting a bit cranky after six weeks of 80%+ overcast and constant rain/threat of rain this summer but in winter it actually doesn't bother me at all until we get to late-January and it's probably still going to be cold, grey and bare for a while yet - for midwinter it just feels normal. I once lived through a month with under 20 sun hours (I've probably lived through many) and didn't even notice it as gloomy until I saw the figures years later.

It's cold, cloudy and dark here from October to March. By January I usually literally don't remember the last time the sun shined. It's my favorite time of the year. I love the calm and almost surreal atmosphere punctuated by storms. The fresh air is great as well.

Not at all, I prefer that over hot and sunny.

It doesn't make me cranky. In fact it makes me less cranky, so the short answer is no.

I don't have to "tolerate" it. I like cold and cloudiness in the first place, so coping strategies are unnecessary. In case you still can't understand it, just think about your answer to "how do you tolerate and deal with sun?".

As much as I love heat, I also love the cold, cloudy days that we have throughout the year. Those days with a touch of drizzle are nice to walk outside while listening to some mellow tunes.
