No frost here because of the northern wind bringing back central Paris' heat towards Orly airport. The low was 0.1°C.
Other suburban stations made it though.
Getting cold in Lapland, low was -21°C in Enontekio, Finland.

Morning temps:

Roughly 30°C difference between warm Greece (25°C ) and chilly Germany (-5°C). Those two definitely don't get along.

Not here. The outer periphery of Hurricane Sandy has made landfall in Pennsylvania.

watching... I can only have it in °F & inHg or °C & mb. inches of Mercury seems a bit obsolete, not so used to it. So for now switched it to metric.
As long as your power stays on you can just check on - line to your area NWS station. It will be a historic pressure reading is my guess.

Meanwhile...all hell is breaking lose down here...I never saw so many warnings for so many different weather issues - lol.

Fun!

If I was in your location i'd go and rent in a hotel up above 2500 feet to see all that snow.

No appeal for me. It's like we won't get snow later in the year.

As much as I like snow, I think I'll enjoy the couple snowless weeks we have left I have all winter's worth of snow to look forward to. We don't have persistent snowpack where I live, but it tends to stay on the ground for a week or two or three if no fresh powder is added on later

You know...if the track keeps trending northward (up the NJ coast), you might just see more and more effects from Sandy. Last night landfall was below Atlantic City...now it looks to the north of Atlantic City:

That 951 mb is not good news....
