Though he was talking about spring blooming.

Yeah, but I'm trying to make a point, that conditions in his back yard are irrelevant to the rest of the UK. I mean, he lives in a separate island.

Deciduous trees start getting leaves in mid-May here and are in mostly full green by early June. But then this is the very northern edge of deciduous trees apart from some species of birches, no wonder they wake up slowly. Conifers and birches make up more than 90% of trees here and a grove of oaks in Kadriorg park in Tallinn is the northernmost in the world. That only goes to show how warm the climate is for its latitude though, 60° N in Canada and Russia is solid taiga or even tundra in some places.

PS, ignore all posts by owenc that have anything to do with latitude. He's both obsessed and terribly misinformed about it.

Yes, I do I know my area. And the trees never ever have leaves re forming until at least April.

They will definately not have any leaves in January with the current temperatures, thats for sure.

That depends on where you are. Northern Ireland will have later blooming than southern England. In some years parts of southern England can have flowers blooming in January, though February or March is more typical for them. I think that London's blooming comes somewhat later than extreme southern England.

What are you talking about. It depends on where you live you live in NI so spring is going to begin later. I'm sure that it doesn't always start in April so it also depends on year.

Lol neither will London, only blooming flowers on the milder years. Say the first daffodils come much earlier than leafing trees.

I (and maybe other posters) were talking about London and maybe other parts of southern England. You've said numerous times that your area isn't the same southern England, and complain when people conflate the two but you're doing the same thing.
