Heat is easy to deal with, at least the variety of heat seen in most climates on earth (a humid 80s or 90s F or possibly a dry low 100s F). Drink a cold beer in the shade, take a dip in the pool, turn on the fan or AC, etc. Subfreezing temperatures on a regular basis require excessive care; bundling up in multiple layers, spending 20 minutes shoveling snow and deicing the car in the morning, driving in snow and ice is far more dangerous than driving in above freezing conditions, etc. It's a lot easier to get frostbite in a typical continental climate's winter than it is to get heatstroke in a typical continental climate's summer. Tropical climates also provide a lot of rain to cool off from the heat naturally. The only truly dangerous "hot climates" IMO are the hot deserts of the Middle East, Sahara, and the far southeastern corner of Southeast Calfiornia where water is in scares supply and the temperatures transcend beyond an ordinary heat. It's rare to see places that hit 120 F though. It's very common for climates to hit 0 F or colder in parts of the U.S. though.

I doubt many people who lived in areas with oppressive summers would like heat. I'm not really a heat hater, but I prefer mild to warm temperatures. It's not the severity of the summers here that I hate, but the monotony and length. Sure, heat is good in July and August when it's supposed to be hot. But heat is boring, so it's pretty annoying getting into the upper 80s in late November like we did this year.

It would be my biggest dream in life if I could live in a climate where the daytime temps were always 70-90F and night temps were 50-70F with lotsa sunshine!

Would you enjoy something even hotter and sunnier (my own creation)?

I hate the heat, but I don't mind it during June-July for some reason. The heat "feels right" during that time of year. Maybe because the sun angle is at it's highest that time of year, and everything is in a deep green that time of year. Past mid-August, I'm tired of the heat and want cooler weather to set in. Unfortunately, August is the hottest month here and September and even the first half of October doesn't see much of a cool-off, so there's plenty of ungodly hear past August 15
