What would California's climate be like both northern and southern in a Dalton Minimum scenario causing a mini ice age if I spelled that right............ which we may face if the current solar cycle (if you can even call it that) continues it's fail?

Colder? Drier? Or perhaps more storm activity? Did California's climate ever had more snow then it does anytime in modern history post 1950 records?

It's now generally agreed that the so called "little ice age" was mainly a regional phenomenon centred on the North Atlantic rather than a global one. Some have misleadingly termed any cooler period anywhere in the world over a long period "LIA" even if they didn't occur at the same time.

The question is also moot as the temperatures and the sun have been heading in opposite directions for decades, so any solar minimum is at most going to slightly reduce the warming trend, not reverse it.

Here's an interesting paper on temperature reconstructions for the past 1500 years in California and temperate North America. The coolest century in the period was the 19th C, so it should be well within the historical record.
