So, inside my appartment it's still quite warm, and I still have the fan on, so I'll have to wait till it stops raining to open the windows wide. Actually, I've opened a tiny gap but it's not enough.
same problem here, i wanted to open windows so bad with this huge drop on temps but couldnt cause the insane amount of rain wont let me. My appartment was like 40c inside, till a couple of minutes ago (is not raining at the moment) and now is breezy and pleasant inside

It is a bit awkward. I prefer the 24-hour clock myself, especially for online communication, though I often use "2 in the afternoon", or "7 in the evening" in casual discourse.

But yes, AM is ante meridiem (meaning before noon) and PM is post meridiem (meaning after noon).

In stark contrast to BA, it has been an exceptionally cold month here. Max / min temps MTD:

19.7 / 8.9
23.5 / 11.7
24.5 / 6.8
10.3 / 2.5
14.2 / 2.8
11.5 / 5
11.4 / 3.1
14.7 / -2

Beautiful blue dome day today. From dawn to dusk there was literally not a cloud in the sky. High around 18 C, so about average. Feels quite warm after the last week of cold temps.
i provide you the contrast with BA

A -2C low is not record-breaking here in May, far from it.
-2 C is lower than the May record low of Oxford and London (both nearly ten degrees further from the equator) and very competitive with the record lows of many European cities in the 55 - 60 N range. Christchurch really punches well above it's weight in providing icy cold weather all year round.

Just as I thought, today's 23 C forecasted high has just been downgraded to 19 C. Yesterday's forecast of 22 C was also proven to be optimistic with an actual high of 18.6 C.

And after tomorrow we're in for rain, cloud and cold for at least a whole week. We've been averaging 4 C below average MTD and this forecast suggests an indefinite continuation of that trend:

Monday12 Nov
High 13°C
Overnight 6°C

Showery southerlies.

Issued: 1:14pm 9 Nov

Tuesday13 Nov
High 13°C
Overnight 6°C

Issued: 1:14pm 9 Nov

Wednesday14 Nov
High 14°C
Overnight 6°C

Showers. Not much wind.

Issued: 2:10am 10 Nov

Thursday15 Nov
High 14°C
Overnight 7°C

Rain with light winds.

Issued: 2:10am 10 Nov

Friday16 Nov
High 16°C
Overnight 7°C

One or two showers with little wind.

Issued: 2:10am 10 Nov

Saturday17 Nov
High 16°C
Overnight 9°C

Showers. Northwesterlies.

Issued: 2:10am 10 Nov

Sunday18 Nov

The first half of that is a bit hot, but the rest is beautiful.

Even Ushuaia looks better than here! I'm seeing sunny 17 C days forecast for Ushuaia.

That's nice.. though I was only referring to where I live.

Your summer record lows in particular are low - though the winter lows are not so impressive, and your coldest maximum temperature is pretty weak.

The record low for the United Kingdom in May is -9.4c which is surpisingly warm. Saying, that I recorded a low of -0.7c on June 18th this summer, I do not consider -2c impressive at all in a month that is comparable to the start of May here. New zealand does not have Icy weather its record low max is 0.4c, which is pretty weak considering my record low max is -9c.
