Not sure where you're getting that from. I counted 6 days below 21C at "Williamtown" for the last 2 weeks.
27.7C/82F here today. Pretty warm but not unusual as there is usually about 2 days above 30C in September. Unfortunately, like most warm days at this time of year, the day was pretty awful because of strong winds.
Ooops, my thermometer is in the sunshine.
It felt like it though.
I don't mind warm strong winds if the gusts stay under 50 km/h
Maximums are usually around the low to mid 20s in September, but we've cracked the high 20s often lately. The bone dry conditions are continuing as well.
Hogan Island, just of the Victorian coastline in the Bass Strait has been getting solid 100km/h+ wind gusts for over 36 hours now (since Friday morning) with a peak of 159km/h.

Weird day today. Started off warm and cloudy (18 C at 10 AM) then became sunny in the afternoon with sunshowers (kind of sureal to have these droplets falling from the sky with no visible cloud) before becoming chilly in the evening.
We're still getting pounded by those NWers (been a very windy week here) but strangely this isn't reflected in the temp (being a Foehn wind) -- 8 C with 30 km/hr wind now at 11 PM. Feels quite chilly.
Looking at the forecast it does seem that the warm spell is definitely at an end. After a taste of summer the last few days next week looks set to take us straight back to mid-winter:
Tomorrow9 Sep
High 15°C
Overnight 3°C
Fine, possibly evening thunder with southwesterlies.

If it were a major city...
It would be much better if there were more major cities with interesting weather. We'd certainly be getting more reports and videos from those locations if they were populated more. 100 kph wind gusts for 36 solid hours sounds great, though even I would like for it to let up at some point (maybe another day or so ).
A warm 26C today with NE winds. Now forecasting 29C tomorrow, if we manage to surpass 30C it would be close to record breaking for this early in September. Unseasonably warm for the rest of the week as well with temperatures in the low to mid 20's.
Looks like Perffff and Shitney are in bed with each other while we get chewed out but what else is new. Come summer, Adelaide will join 'em in a 3-way sword fight and I'm not talking about actual swords....
Ofcourse another crappy overcast cold day here. This stupid cloud is supposed to clear but I'm sure it won't in typical Melbourne fashion
This prolonged wet spell is starting to get on my nerves. This is real moss growing in the arse crack sort of weather. Everything is constantly wet, mossy and muddy Creepy looking toadstools and fungi all over the place. It doesn't rain for more than an hour, but then stays misty, foggy, crappy then clearing for a few minutes with bright sun and quite muggy, before it gets dark and starts raining again. No 130kmh winds like Wellington is having, to dry things out. it just stays still and damp. There must have been some good rain in the hills, as the river was briefly over the road today( over the 4M mark). Some good standing waves, with kayakers making the most of it. No trees in the river, as they must have all been washed out recently. There has been thunder a few times over the last week or so, but never what I would call a storm.
Had a nice respite at the beach today, with a pleasant onshore breeze, but surprisingly, snow down to the 800m/2600ft mark. It didn't look (or feel) like snowy skies at all. A big rainbow out to sea as well.
It looks like a cold change this week. Snow down to sea level on Tuesday, for the south, and 300m/1000ft for here. Up to 80cm/ 38 inches for the passes. Some good frosts to dry the place out, will be good.
