Which equatorial climate would you choose?

Both are A+ climates for me.. but I'll give the edge to Belém due to higher sunshine.

Singapore. Belem's 251 annual rain days with several months with rain every day is not acceptable.

Singapore

- Warmer nights year-round
- Warmer annual average temperature (27.5 C vs. 26.7 C)
- sunshine totals are not that much different
- More consistent sunshine patterns so cloudiest months are sunnier than Belem's
- Muchwarmer record lows (19 C/67 F vs. 13 C/56 F)

I'm surprised that Belem doesn't average one month with an average low of 24 C/75 F. Belem loses big on this for me.

I love how Singapore's average low is 24 C/75 F, so half the year should be that or warmer.
I like occaisional 26-28 C C/ 77-82 F sunrises.

Both are F climates.

I choose Belém for lower average lows and higher precipitation. It still gets plenty of sun year round and the cloudier months aren't too bad sunwise either.

I don't know though, I'd probably get used to them rather quickly and then I'd probably rate them as high as C or C-.

As a WWF, I would take either location over a cold climate like somewhere in Russia, Canada…etc anyday, but both these locations remind me why the most livable tropical climates are on often on the margins of the tropics – not truly in the deep tropics. Compared to a place like Hawaii, Miami, Rio, …etc, both stations have no dry season, low sun hrs (considering where they are), and no relief from the high temps/dew points.

I would have to go with Belem if for only some semblance of a drier time of year.

Belem is slightly better imo. I prefer the wetter climate with more raindays in the tropics to keep it feeling cooler, and the overnight temperatures are more comfortable. I'd rate both a C.

Belem. I love the higher rainfall and more rainy days. I'd prefer, though, if it had lower sunshine totals like Singapore's

Belem - I like the greater rainfall and seasonality, and the slightly cooler year-round lows. An A- climate for me, but still excellent. Only my frizzy hair would suffer.

Singapore for the reasons listed by ColdCanadian, especially the more even sunshine hours despite the lower total.
