Tallinn experiences a continental climate (Dfa) with cold dull winters and mild comparatively sunny summers. Precipitation is moderate and is higher during the summer.

It's nice but its winters are slightly warmer than inland areas due to urban island effects and the moderating influence of the sea which is a minus in my book. I live about 15 km south of Tallinn and it's often several degrees colder here in the winter. The cool sea breeze is great in the summer though.

I would love colder winters and cooler summers but the climate is quite OK. C.

Those winters look unbearable to me with cold temps and no sun. I could take colder with more sunshine. July looks like a decent Spring month relative to what I'm used to. I'd have to say a D- mostly due to poor winter.

The gloom does get quite extreme in the winter. By January I usually don't remember the last time the Sun shone and it's dark eighteen hours a day on top of that. One December we got six hours of sunshine, less than a third of a single summer day.

Being a winter, cold and darkness lover, I can't wait.

B-. Summer contains too much precipitation, and winter sunshine levels of atrocious. And one December you only got six hours of sunshine??????? That's just a single day without clouds for the entire month. Sheesh and I thought Seattle was bad!
