I thought this would be a great battle of semi-arid continental climates....

It's tough but I think I'll go with Medicine Hat by a hair on this one... more sunshine and slightly drier

Hard to separate these, I'll vote for Medicine Hat as it seems to have a longer summer period and greater potential for temperature extremes throughout the year.

Yes, there's a Turk I'm working with who says that the climate here is just like home. The summers here are hotter, but he wasn't complaining.
