This thread interests me - I've got an online friend in Miami, and a few winters ago the temp dipped to 34f where he lived.

He'd never experienced anything that cold before, and it did mess up some of the plants in his garden.

I suspect Orlando & Melbourne FL might drop below 40F tonight according to the forecast, we'll have to wait & see !

It looks like FL is experiencing its first "cold" spell this winter

Close, but no cigar - Orlando dipped to 40 F last night. Forecast to drop down to 37 F tonight. We'll see if we can cross Orlando off the list. West Palm Beach dropped to 43 F, but it looks like they won't be going below 40 F in the near future.

I switched to NWS from Wunderground for this thread as Wavehunter and others used NWS; Otherwise we will have conflicting data (or low) for this thread.

Just check NWS, the lowest for West Palm Beach at 49F (last month Nov 24 and yesterday Dec 21)
National Weather Service Climate

How come Tampa was off the list !?
I just checke NWS, the lowest for Tampa (CF6): 46F (Nov 23 & 25)

The lowest for Fort Myers (not Naples) from NWS (CF6): 49F (Nov 25)

Here's my line up for South Florida (first off the list to last):
- Fort Myers (not Naples)
- Naples or West Palm Beach
- Fort Lauderdale
- Miami
- Key West

I am surprised St Pete was so warm, the lowest was 55F (Nov 25) so far. Does NWS put their temp sensor next to a heater

Both wunderground and the NWS show that today dropped down to 43 F in WPB. Fort Myers dropped to 45 F today. I see 51 F and 43 F for St. Petersburg and Tampa, respectively, but I'll have to double check those. Tampa might drop below 40 F tonight.

I know it's not US but the Scilly Isles haven't gone below 40F yet! 42F is the coldest so far which is pretty amazing!

they also haven't fallen below freezing at all this year. I believe their lowest temperature this year was 34F.

That's pretty amazing, they almost have a year round spring as summer isn't much warmer!
