Though I prefer more subtropical/wet climates, the sun hrs, warm winters, and overall dry weather is hard to argue with. Summers are typical hot in subtropical deserts, but I think I could adjust in time.
Not terribly good but better than Phoenix and way better than Yuma.
Double the rainfall and have more of it in winter than at present; knock 5 degrees off the winter temps and 10 or so off the summer ones and keep the sunshine hours and it would be much better.
Decent winters for sure. Cool at night, warm during the day. Summers get a decent amount of thunderstorms as well. The mountains 50 miles south of Tucson average 80-90 thunderstorm days a year, while the city of Tucson gets an average of 40 tstorm days.
Summer temps though are too hot for me. I'd say a B for the nice winters. Good place for a getaway for springlike weather in winter season. Loads of citrus trees and palms abound.
I know this is an old thread but I had to think about this climate recently for some reason.
When I visited Tucson in March 2015 I enjoyed really nice weather, humid lukewarm and convective at first, sunny and warm the days after. That is the kind of weather I like if it's not snowing. Summer is of course too hot but at least it's interesting. I'm generous and give Tucson a B-
Vegetation around Tucson is also more dense than expected and looks exotic, almost surreal, to my eyes. On top of that there was a nice creosote odor every around the city.
