Which would you prefer?

As miserable as McAllen's summers are, I'll have to go with it since winters often at least somewhat of a reprieve from the heat (more so than Miami).

Miami - the winters are nice, although McAllen has better ones. McAllen has a terrible summer, which is the decider for me.

Miami. McAllen's winters aren't cool enough to surpass Miami's superior precipitation.

Miami. Much more bearable summer highs and much higher rainfall (yet probably vastly sunnier).

Definitely Miami: Warmer than McAllen in winter, not as hot as McAllen in summer.
