So I picked a range of climates from around the country, some of them might seem quite similar but each is different?
Rate your favourite climate.

1)Paihia:

2)Tauranga:

3)Hastings: (btw, sunshine would be around 2200-2300 I think)

4)Blenheim:

6)Alexandra:

Paihia
Tauranga
Hokitika
Blenheim
Invercargill
Hastings
Alexandra

Paihia is definitely the best with the best amount of rain and amazing temperatures year-round, but without being prone to heatwaves like Alexandra for example.

Benheim - sunniest, modest rainfall. Tauranga not far off but too prone to heavy rainfalls. Invercargill clear last. Paihia isn't sunny or reliable enough to compensate for its rainfall. Hastings not bad, but Napier is better in that region.

Why do you find Napier better? Hastings is warmer and dryer

Very tight between Hastings and Paihia and I have to choose Hastings today because it's a rainy day outside but on a sunny day here I might have picked Paihia

It's that close dammit...

Oh god damn I'm torn between Tauranga, Hastings and Blenheim. Do I want more sunshine or longer summer, or warmer winter, and do I want more rain to sustain a lusher vegetation or is 800mm fine? I think I'll take Tauranga today for nicer vegetation and warmer waters, and I guess warmer winters.

I like most of these

Tauranga ,Blenheim and Hastings - don't know which to pick as they look very similar - Blenheim i think - evens the poll out too lol

Hokitika - least favourite - far too wet and cool as climates go ,but i would probably pick the least sunniest but warmest in reality given the gunk factor

Blenheim for the decent sunshine hours and for being relatively dry.

Hastings would come a close second.

Paihia. A little on the wet side but has the warmest winters and sun is ok.
