I dont know if you are aware. But getting into water of 13c is a struggle nevermind 9c. 9c water is VERY cold.

Actually a quick google search said that lake water in Bariloche is between 12c and 15c, so i guess it could go down to 10c even with a cold current? even, in any case, its VERY cold. Its a lake, lakes can be colder than sea.

I did swim in those 13c waters in Bariloche and didnt have any problem. Im not like most people, i enjoy cold water very much

An astonishing clip. Quite clearly too much vodka ingested in his system!

The coldest I've swum is in 18C sea temperatures during the late winter here, after the initial shock, it's reasonably comfortable for me.

Don't think I'd really like <12C in the water, but it would be interesting to experience anyway.

Well personally I don't think anyone could honestly cope in the 6c water that we get in the winter.

I'm sorry but its baltic. 6c in water is darn site colder than 6c in air.

- Some person from canada will probably come on and say that they've swam in -2c waters. Truth is most people could not cope below 10c.

We had a completely overcast day here, rare considering it's midsummer. Just a few spits of rain and currently a humid 24C.

That's bad. We've been under very unusual hot weather since December(average for that month was 2ºC higher than normal), and that's the first ZCAS( portuguese initials for South Atlantic Converging Zone) to hit São Paulo, which brings good rainfall amounts and cloudy weather.

Yesterday we got a low of 14.9ºC and a high of only 20ºC. Today both temps and rain have increased, but still cooler than average.

I feel sorry for you.

Much of Brazil is under rainfall season right now, average here in January is 239mm, I think we've got half of that already...and according to forecast it is expected to keep cool like this( 17º/25º) for several days...I hope so!!!
