Well, we've got one for Africa, so i've decided to do one for Europe.
What do you think would happen?

I myself, do not think that the Gulf stream would have much of an effect on our climate at all,
If Europe was placed North, Ireland and the rest of the British isles would be parallel to Greenland and southern europe would block the gulf stream from reaching us.

Me - 75North.

Southernmost part of Europe- 57North.
Northernmost part of Europe- 89North (it would be south of the pole).

You stole my thread I was going to do this!

Anywho NW Europe would still be oceanic - it would be like Iceland YUCKY!!

Places like Poland, Norway, Great Britain, Finland would be Taiga bordering on to a Tundra. A Subarctic oceanic climate would preveil. Snow would be plentiful.

Southwestern Europe would be Oceanic like current day NW Europe.

So say bye bye to benidorm.

Also the increase inbetween Africa and Europe would make places like Athens would become very Oceanic also.

In this scenario, places like Tromso and Hammerfest would be stuck in pack ice year round.

Europe would be pretty cold.

London at 71N, yikes

Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki at 80N....I'm thinking very polar.

On the other hand,

Rome at 52N
Athens at 48N

might be better!

Switzerland would be very cold and very snowy.

At 67N and without Africa just to the south, snowfall would be very high thanks to the North Atlantic current. Probably something similar to Mount Washington, NH although with colder winters and shorter summers.
